As for the "why" of changing the steps: Some topics are harder than others and require more time to "learn". Can I increase the number of "Good"'s that it requires to graduate cards? I'm studying for my driver's test, and I'm currently using Anki + mnemomics to drill in information. So when practicing some cards (I’ve downloaded them) shows up with good being after 1 day, again after 1 minute, hard 5 and easy 4 days. ReplyAnd the 4th position refer to “Graduating Interval”, which can be set to 1 day, 2 days, 3 days 4 days an so on. 2 and wrong answers reset the interval to one day. So you have a graduating interval for that Anki deck of say a month, and you keep repeating the sentences a couple of times a week. I see it in 6 days time and I hit good again.
